Yangju City secures sites for new Education Support Office

Yangju City is proactively preparing for the establishment of a dedicated Yangju Education Support Office by securing both temporary and permanent office sites. This move aims to facilitate a rapid administrative transition once the Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education officially decides to separate the Dongducheon-Yangju Education Support Office.

The city has designated a temporary office in Deokjeong-dong, a four-story building completed in February, which will be used for approximately three years. Additionally, the city has secured a site for a new permanent office within the Yangju Station area development project, chosen for its accessibility and ability to meet educational demands in new cities like Okjeong and Hoecheon.

As the Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education begins accepting applications for the separation and establishment of integrated education support offices, Yangju is positioned as one of the most prepared regions. The city's proactive measures, including keeping the temporary facility vacant for educational use, are intended to minimize delays in launching independent educational administration services.
