Yango and ABC Fighters inaugurate renovated basketball court in Port-Bouët

Yango Group and the Abidjan Basketball Club (ABC Fighters) have inaugurated a renovated community basketball court in Port-Bouët, Ivory Coast. The facility, located near a school in a densely populated area, is designed to serve local students, youth players, and community teams for training and competitions.

This project is part of a strategic partnership established in May 2025 between Yango and the ABC Fighters. It follows a previous renovation in Marcory that currently serves over 1,500 visitors daily. Beyond infrastructure, the partnership includes the ‘Fighters NextGen’ program, which focuses on developing women's basketball. Last season, the program supported approximately 30 young female players, and a four-month basketball camp hosted over 500 girls.

Boubakari Touré, President of the ABC Fighters, stated that the renovated court provides a better environment for young players to progress. Serge Eric Niamké, representing Yango, noted that while the company is a technology firm, they aim to contribute to local community development through such initiatives.
