Yangs Technology deploys autonomous delivery robots in Europe

Yangs Technology, a company based in Chengdu, China, has announced the large-scale deployment of thousands of autonomous last-mile delivery robots in Europe. These Level 4 automation vehicles are designed for short urban routes, such as sidewalks and shopping centers, and can operate without continuous human intervention.

The robots feature a 60-liter internal volume, can carry loads of up to 20 kilograms, and offer more than 12 hours of battery life. To maximize efficiency for logistics companies and supermarkets, the system supports rapid battery swapping to minimize downtime. The units utilize a combination of LiDAR, ultrasonic sensors, and cameras to navigate and detect obstacles.

While the company has not specified exact European countries for the full deployment, some units have been observed in Moscow bearing Yandex branding. This expansion aligns with China's industrial strategy to prioritize robotics through 2030. The move comes as the global last-mile delivery market is projected to reach $8 billion by 2030, growing at an annual rate of 20%.
