Yangsan Sapryang Cultural Festival to celebrate city's 30th anniversary

The 2026 Yangsan Sapryang Cultural Festival is scheduled to take place from October 2 to 4 at the Yangsancheon riverside and the general stadium area. Under the theme ‘One Yangsan, the Resonance of a Great Leap,’ the event commemorates the 30th anniversary of Yangsan's elevation to city status.

The three-day festival aims to bridge tradition and modernity through various programs. The opening day will feature a parade with a citizen's military band, media art, and performances by artists such as Gummy and ONF. The second day includes a special music program titled ‘Totoz Yangsan #ryang,’ featuring millennium-era singers like Jo Sung-mo and Wax to celebrate the 1990s era.

Additional activities include traditional wrestling, martial arts performances, family musicals, and a kids' zone. The festival also incorporates historical elements, such as the ‘Sapryang Park Je-sang History Zone’ and traditional calligraphy exhibitions. Local authorities have implemented traffic controls and designated parking areas to ensure visitor safety and smooth event progression.
