Yangwang U7 sets endurance record with 30,000km test
Yangwang, a high-end luxury brand under BYD, has announced that its Yangwang U7 electric production vehicle completed a 30,000-kilometer endurance test in 8 days, 19 hours, and 58 minutes. This achievement sets a new world record for the fastest completion of a 30,000-kilometer distance by a production vehicle.
The test was conducted under extreme conditions in Nanning, characterized by high temperatures exceeding 36°C and humidity levels of 80%. During the challenge, the vehicle maintained a cruising speed of 240 km/h with the air conditioning set to 24°C. The testing utilized standard 2026 production models without special hardware modifications. Following the test, the battery capacity retention rate remained at 98.7%.
In addition to the endurance results, Yangwang introduced the ‘Tuning Master’ feature, which allows drivers to adjust suspension damping and stiffness via OTA updates. The company also launched the ‘Yangwang U7 Modification Plan’ to encourage personalized vehicle customization.
