Yanielkis Duardo reaches 100 career saves in Cuban baseball

Pitcher Yanielkis Duardo Rojas has achieved a significant milestone in Cuban baseball, recording his 100th career save during the 65th edition of the Serie Nacional de Béisbol. The Sancti Spiritus reliever reached this mark on October 5 at the José Antonio Huelga stadium during a game against Camagüey, where his team secured a 3-1 victory.

Duardo, a specialist who has spent his 13-season career primarily in the bullpen, is noted for being the only closer in the exclusive 100-save club who has not made any career starts. Throughout his 322 appearances, he has accumulated 36 wins and 12 holds. He reached his 99th save just one day prior, completing the milestone in the opening games of the new season.
