Yanis Marshall criticizes Star Academy in upcoming book

Former Star Academy dance instructor Yanis Marshall has criticized the television program in excerpts from his upcoming book, ‘Je vous conseille de ne pas le dire’, scheduled for release on November 5 via Leduc editions.

Marshall, who served one season as a teacher, described the production team as ‘a bunch of hypocrites.’ He alleged that while the show promoted a ‘family’ atmosphere, he experienced a total lack of empathy and support once his contract was not renewed. He stated that he felt ‘squeezed like a lemon’ and abandoned at a time when he most needed assistance.

In addition to his grievances regarding the TF1 show, the 36-year-old dancer intends to use the book to discuss personal struggles, including his HIV status, addictions, and experiences with sexual violence.
