Yanké announces new EP ‘Dissingue’ to honor family elders

Guinean artist Yanké has announced the release of his new EP, titled ‘Dissingue’. During a press conference at the Maison de la Presse in Guinea, the artist explained that the project serves as a tribute to eldest family members, highlighting the responsibilities, sacrifices, and challenges they often face.

The seven-track EP explores diverse musical styles, including dancehall, reggae, and traditional Manding melodies. Key tracks include ‘Trahisons’, which addresses relationship betrayals, and ‘Onana’, which focuses on the experiences of young women moving from villages to the capital.

Produced by 7M Music, the project is scheduled for digital release on September 7, 2026, followed by a live performance on November 21 at the Malick Condé hall of the Kofi Annan University of Guinea. The label, which operates between Guinea and Canada, aims to support African musical talent and bridge the gap between the continent and the diaspora.
