Yanki Erel cites crowd pressure in Davis Cup loss to Cerúndolo

In a Davis Cup match between Argentina and Turkey, Francisco Cerúndolo defeated Yanki Erel. Following the match, Erel noted that the intense atmosphere at the Ruca Che stadium in Neuquén significantly impacted his performance. He compared the crowd's energy to a football match, stating he was not accustomed to such high levels of pressure.

Erel expressed frustration at failing to secure a point for Turkey but acknowledged the gap in skill between himself and Cerúndolo, a top-tier player. He noted that against elite competition, missed opportunities are difficult to recover from.
