Yankuba Sima leaves Valencia Basket for ALBA Berlin

Spanish international center Yankuba Sima has parted ways with Valencia Basket after reaching an agreement to terminate his contract, which was originally set to run through the 2027-28 season.

Sima’s tenure in Valencia was significantly hindered by a muscle injury sustained during the preseason, which prevented him from integrating into the team's rotation. Over 32 appearances, he averaged 3.5 points and 1.9 rebounds per game. His playing time remained limited under coach Xavi Albert, appearing for only eleven minutes in recent competition.

Sima is expected to move to Germany to join ALBA Berlin, where he is reportedly set to sign a contract until June 2027. In Berlin, he will compete in the Basketball Champions League (BCL).
