Yankuilotl launches semiconductor assembly operations in Puebla

Yankuilotl SAPI de CV, a majority state-owned enterprise in Puebla, Mexico, has launched operations to drive technological, industrial, and digital development in the region. The company focuses on high-specialization sectors, including a semiconductor assembly center and two printed circuit board (PCB) assembly lines capable of producing 200,000 components per hour.

By manufacturing PCBs, the company aims to manage the entire lifecycle of electronic projects—from design and prototyping to fabrication and assembly—to reduce external dependency and strengthen local supply chains. Yankuilotl also operates an electronics and prototype laboratory for the validation of electronic systems.

Key ongoing projects include discussions with Olinia to develop battery controllers for electric vehicles, a federal government initiative. Additionally, the company is designing an integrated public bicycle system for the Puebla Metropolitan Area, covering everything from bicycle design and electronics to user applications and program operation.
