Yannick Carrasco scores hattrick for Al-Shabab

Belgian winger Yannick Carrasco recorded a hattrick during Al-Shabab's 6-1 victory over Al-Ahli in the Saudi Pro League. The 33-year-old, who serves as club captain, scored his goals to bring his season total to five goals in nine league appearances.

One of the goals was scored via a free kick that beat goalkeeper Edouard Mendy. This performance follows a strong previous season where Carrasco recorded eighteen goals and nine assists in 29 matches.

Despite his current form in Saudi Arabia, Carrasco has not officially retired from international football. His last appearance for the Belgian national team was during the Euro 2024 round of 16 match against France.
