Yannis Morin joins South East Melbourne Phoenix

French forward Yannis Morin has joined the South East Melbourne Phoenix as the third member of the team's new import trio for the Hungry Jack's NBL27 season. Standing at 208 centimetres, the 32-year-old brings international experience from stints in France, the United States, Spain, and Japan.

Morin's most recent season was played in Japan, where he recorded averages of 14.7 points and 7.4 rebounds over 55 games. Phoenix coach Josh King highlighted Morin's versatility, noting his ability to play both the four and five positions. King expects Morin to provide defensive and offensive presence in the paint, competing for significant minutes alongside players such as Jordan Hunter, Akech Aliir, and Hunter Goodrick.
