Yantai authorities launch safety inspections for new school semester

Authorities in Yantai have launched comprehensive safety inspections to prepare for the new school semester.

State Grid Yantai Power Supply Company conducted specialized inspections of electrical facilities in primary, secondary, and high schools. The initiative focused on transformers, distribution rooms, and classroom equipment to identify risks such as aging lines, moisture damage, or faulty protection devices caused by summer weather. The company is implementing a closed-loop management system to ensure all identified electrical hazards are rectified.

Simultaneously, the Yantai High-tech Zone Public Security Bureau initiated a multi-layered security campaign. Police departments conducted inspections of campus surveillance, fire safety equipment, and security personnel protocols at kindergartens, schools, and universities. Efforts also included collaborative meetings with educational institutions to address telecommunications fraud and anti-drug education. Officers have also been deployed to deliver legal awareness lectures to new students to prevent bullying and fraud.
