Yantai Yuhuangding Hospital issues health advice for blood disease patients during Chushu
As the solar term Chushu approaches on August 23, marking the end of intense summer heat, medical professionals are issuing health guidance for patients with blood diseases.
Ma Junjie, director of the Hematology Department at Yantai Yuhuangding Hospital, warns that the transition to autumn brings challenges such as temperature fluctuations, dryness, and physical fatigue. Because blood disease patients often have lower immunity and weakened vitality, they are particularly susceptible to changes in blood counts caused by environmental stressors.
Key recommendations include: - Managing temperature shifts by avoiding direct exposure to air conditioning or fans at night to prevent respiratory infections. - Addressing autumn dryness by increasing water intake and using moisturizers. - Practicing food safety by avoiding raw or cold foods to prevent intestinal infections. - Maintaining regular sleep patterns and taking short naps to combat seasonal fatigue.
