Yaren the stork begins migration from Bursa to Africa

Yaren, a well-known stork famous for her long-standing bond with fisherman Adem Yılmaz in Eskikarağaç Stork Village, Bursa, has begun her annual migration to Africa alongside her mate, Nazlı.

After arriving in the village on February 24 and reuniting with Nazlı on March 10, the pair spent the summer near Uluabat Lake. Following the successful rearing of their young, the storks departed as temperatures began to drop. Nature photographer Alper Tüydeş documented the departure, noting that the village's storks migrated together on the same day.

Adem Yılmaz bid farewell to the birds, marking the end of another season of their celebrated friendship. The stork's nest in Eskikarağaç is expected to remain quiet until their anticipated return next spring.
