Yari Verschaeren linked with Sampdoria and Antwerp as he remains club‑less

Belgian midfielder Yari Verschaeren, 25, is out of contract after leaving RSC Anderlecht and is currently a free agent. The former Anderlecht captain, who has made over 150 appearances for the club and earned national team caps, is being pursued by Serie B side Sampdoria. Sampdoria’s interest is driven by former Anderlecht CEO Jesper Fredberg, who worked closely with Verschaeren and believes the player can add creativity to the Italian team.

In Belgium, Royal Antwerp FC is also monitoring the situation and has been reported as a potential destination.
