Yasamal Plateaus host 15km trek by Oltu walking group
The Oltu walking group recently completed a 15-kilometer trek through the Yasamal Plateaus, located in the Şenkaya district of Erzurum. The route traverses a unique geographic area where the provinces of Erzurum, Artvin, and Ardahan meet.
Starting from the Soğukpınar area, the participants hiked through several locations, including the Dedeşan, Göğe Bakan, Söğütler, and Alıcık plateaus. The group took breaks for meals and tea at the Alıcık Plateau to enjoy the natural scenery.
Participants noted the high quality of the air and the beauty of the landscape. Melik Polat highlighted the region's potential, suggesting that some of Turkey’s finest trekking routes could be established around these plateaus.
