Yash addresses KGF and Shah Rukh Khan’s Zero box office clash

Actor Yash recently addressed the 2018 box office clash between his Kannada film ‘KGF: Chapter 1’ and Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Zero’ during an appearance on the talk show ‘Aap Ki Adalat’ with Rajat Sharma.

Yash clarified that the release of ‘KGF’ alongside ‘Zero’ was not a strategic move to compete with the superstar, noting that ‘KGF’ was a relatively small film compared to the massive scale of Shah Rukh Khan’s production. He expressed continued admiration for Khan, referring to him as a legend and a superstar.

Reflecting on the professional hierarchy, Yash stated that he maintains deep respect for his seniors, remarking that if he ever believes he is bigger than them, his career would be over. Regarding the financial outcomes, ‘KGF’ performed strongly at the box office, earning approximately Rs 238–250 crore globally, while ‘Zero’ earned roughly Rs 178–191 crore globally.
