Yash clarifies ₹4,000 crore budget for Ramayana epic
Actor and co-producer Yash has clarified that the reported ₹4,000 crore budget for the upcoming two-part epic Ramayana covers the production of both films, as well as their worldwide release and promotional costs. Speaking on the program Aap Ki Adalat, Yash explained that this financial model follows Hollywood standards, where significant investment in marketing is required to reach a global audience.
Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, the film features Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama, Sunny Deol as Lord Hanuman, and Yash himself in the role of Ravana. Yash emphasized that such large-scale investments are necessary to establish Indian cinema as a global soft power. The first installment of the mythological epic is scheduled for release on November 8.
