Yash’s action thriller Toxic set for August 26 release

The upcoming action-thriller ‘Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups’, starring Yash, is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on August 26. Directed by Geetu Mohandas and produced by KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations, the film has been granted an ‘A’ certificate by the Central Board of Film Certification with a runtime of approximately 3 hours and 14 minutes.

Set in post-independence Goa, the film is a period gangster drama featuring Yash in a dual role as Raya and his son, Ticket. The narrative explores themes of loyalty, morality, and redemption amidst a backdrop of crime and violence. The film will be released in English and Kannada, with dubbed versions available in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam. It has also been announced for an IMAX release across India.

The ensemble cast includes Kiara Advani, Nayanthara, Huma Qureshi, Tara Sutaria, Rukmini Vasanth, Akshay Oberoi, and Sudev Nair. During recent promotional events, Yash praised co-star Sudev Nair as an ‘invisible pillar’ for his role in maintaining the production schedule, and expressed high expectations for Huma Qureshi’s performance.
