Yash’s film Toxic sees strong advance bookings ahead of August release

The upcoming pan-Indian action drama ‘Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups’, starring Yash and directed by Geetu Mohandas, is seeing massive anticipation ahead of its August 26 release. Advance bookings have shown strong momentum, with reports indicating over 500,000 tickets sold within the first 24 hours and pre-sale collections exceeding ₹20 crore. High-demand locations include Mumbai and Bengaluru, where premium tickets have been priced above ₹2,000.

The film has received an ‘A’ certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) without major cuts. The board requested only minor modifications, such as muting or replacing specific words in the Kannada version and adjusting English subtitles, alongside standard anti-smoking and anti-drinking warnings. The film, which has a runtime of 3 hours and 12 minutes, is described as a dark and intense action drama.

To support the final phase of its promotional campaign, a grand pre-release event is scheduled for August 22 at Malla Reddy University in Hyderabad. The film features an ensemble cast including Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, and Huma Qureshi, and is being produced by KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations.
