The trailer for the highly anticipated gangster drama "Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups" has been released, sparking significant discussion across social media. Directed by Geetu Mohandas and starring Yash in a dual role as Raya and Ticket, the film is described as an intense saga involving power struggles, betrayal, and family conflict.

The release has drawn comparisons to the film "Animal" due to its dark aesthetic and violent themes. While many fans have praised the high-octane action and technical scale, some netizens have criticized the level of onscreen gore and certain intimate scenes. Actor Yash used the Bengaluru trailer launch event to defend co-star Kiara Advani against online trolling, encouraging her to focus on her craft.

The film features an ensemble cast including Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Huma Qureshi, Tara Sutaria, and Rukmini Vasanth. Nayanthara noted that she made a rare appearance at the promotional event because the project felt special. "Toxic" is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on August 26, 2026, and will be available in multiple languages including Kannada, English, Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam.
