Yash stars in 'Toxic' trailer release for upcoming gangster drama

The trailer for 'Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups' has been released, providing a first look at the upcoming gangster action drama starring Yash. Directed by Geetu Mohandas and produced by KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations, the film features Yash in a dual role as Raya and his son, Ticket (or Rumi).

The trailer depicts a gritty, violent, and stylized underworld set in Goa during the late 1990s. It includes an ensemble cast featuring Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Huma Qureshi, Tara Sutaria, and Rukmini Vasanth. The promotional material has sparked significant online debate, with some praising the high-octane action and technical scale, while others have criticized the level of gore and depictions of violence.

During the trailer launch in Bengaluru, Yash praised co-star Kiara Advani for her dedication to her role, noting her ability to remain "down to earth" despite the film's large ensemble. The film is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on August 26, 2026. It was shot simultaneously in English and Kannada and will be released in multiple languages, including Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, and Malayalam.
