Yashwant Singh Parmar's 120th Birth Anniversary Marked in Himachal Pradesh

On August 4, 2026, Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu of Himachal Pradesh paid floral tributes to Yashwant Singh Parmar, the state's first chief minister, at a ceremony on the Ridge in Shimla, marking Parmar's 120th birth anniversary.

The event, also held at the Himachal Pradesh Vidhan Sabha complex, featured devotional songs by the Information and Public Relations department and was attended by Vidhan Sabha Speaker Kuldeep Singh Pathania and Leader of Opposition Jai Ram Thakur, who observed the programme.
