Yasmien Kurdi discusses trauma and health issues following daughter's bullying

Filipino actress Yasmien Kurdi has shared details regarding a traumatic period involving her daughter, Ayesha, who was a victim of school bullying. The incident led to significant health challenges for both mother and child.

Kurdi reported that her daughter required hospitalization for anxiety and underwent six months of therapy to recover. The bullying incident also forced the child to pause her education, eventually requiring her to complete a full school year within a two-to-three-month period.

The stress of the situation caused Kurdi to suffer from severe urticaria, which resulted in an emergency room visit. She noted that the physical toll was compounded by the fact that she was breastfeeding at the time. To cope with the emotional trauma and distract her mind from the pain, Kurdi decided to enroll in law school, describing the academic pursuit as a ‘healing ground’ that provides her with purpose and focus.
