Yason Burnu Peninsula attracts visitors with 2,300-year-old ruins
The Yason Burnu Peninsula, located in the Perşembe district of Ordu, is attracting significant visitor interest due to its historical and natural features. The site contains the remains of a 2,300-year-old ancient harbor and fish production pools.
Historically linked to the Golden Fleece legend in Greek mythology, the peninsula also features a 160-year-old church and lighthouse built by local Greeks in 1868. It is noted as the only peninsula along the Black Sea coast featuring a church. Recent improvements by the Ordu Metropolitan Municipality and Perşembe Municipality have enhanced the area's appeal for tourism, water sports, diving, and wedding photography.
