Yasser Zbair finds scoring form at Racing Santander

Moroccan international striker Yasser Zbair is experiencing a career resurgence following his move to Racing Santander in Spain. On loan from French club Stade Rennais, the 21-year-old has quickly adapted to the Spanish league, finding the scoring form that eluded him during a difficult period in France marked by injuries and lack of continuity.

Zbair, a product of the Mohammed VI Football Academy and a U-20 World Cup winner with Morocco, has made an immediate impact. His recent performances include a hat-trick against Elche and a subsequent brace, earning him recognition as a ‘discovery of the season’ by Spanish media.

In recent comments, the Marrakech-born forward expressed his lifelong ambition to play for FC Barcelona, citing his childhood fandom and admiration for players like Lionel Messi and Luis Suárez. While Zbair remains under contract with Stade Rennais until 2029, his current loan spell has placed him firmly in the spotlight of Spanish football.
