Racing Santander adds Brazilian defender Pedro Felipe and Moroccan striker Yassir Zabiri
Racing Club de Santander has completed two high‑profile signings ahead of the new season. Brazilian centre‑back Pedro Felipe, 22, joins from Juventus after the Italian club exercised a €600,000 purchase clause and signed him to a contract until 2029. He previously spent a season on loan at Sassuolo and played 34 matches for Juventus Next Gen in Serie C.
Moroccan forward Yassir Zabiri, 21, arrives on loan from Stade Rennais. Zabiri was the top scorer at the 2025 U‑20 World Cup and the 2025 U‑20 Africa Cup of Nations, winning the tournament’s Ballon d’Or. He moved to Rennes for €10 million in 2025 and is contracted there until 2029.
Other Spanish clubs also reinforced their squads: Juancho Villegas, a 23‑year‑old left‑footed defender, signed for Salamanca UDS in the Segunda RFEF, while left‑back Dani Romero, 24, transferred from Recreativo de Huelva to Real Balompédica Linense.
Across Europe, several notable moves were reported: French winger Nordan Mukiele is set for a season‑long loan from Stade Rennes to Montpellier; Argentine centre‑back Cristian “Cuti” Romero will leave Tottenham for Inter Milan for around €40 million; AC Milan midfielder Youssouf Fofana is linked with Crystal Palace for a €40 million fee; and Belgian‑Moroccan winger Ibrahim Salah, now at FC Basel, is being courted by Royal Antwerp.
