Yasuna Nakamura arrested for extortion following Yoshiwara crackdown
Yasuna Nakamura, a 30-year-old university student, has been arrested by the Metropolitan Police Department on suspicion of extortion and attempted extortion. Nakamura is identified as the former employee whose criminal complaint led to the June 2026 crackdown on the high-end Yoshiwara establishment, Louvre.
According to investigators, after leaving a different sex work establishment in Taito Ward in July 2026, Nakamura allegedly pressured the manager via phone and in person. She reportedly demanded 75,000 yen for taxi expenses under the threat of filing a criminal complaint for violations of the Prostitution Prevention Act, and subsequently demanded an additional 1 million yen to refrain from reporting the business.
Nakamura had previously gained notoriety on social media for claiming credit for the downfall of Louvre, a long-standing establishment that generated over 5.5 billion yen in sales. Following the Louvre case, reports surfaced regarding a “whistleblowing manual” allegedly created by Nakamura to instruct others on how to collect evidence and report establishments to the police to force closures.
