Yrybucuá traffic accident kills teacher and two children

A violent head-on collision between a Toyota Allion and a Star Dax 110 motorcycle in the Yrybucuá district of San Pedro has resulted in three deaths. The victims, identified as teacher Sandra Marilene Aquino Villar, her 8-year-old son, and her 10-year-old niece, died instantly from severe head trauma and spinal fractures.

A 12-year-old boy who was also traveling on the motorcycle survived the impact but remains in critical condition at a specialized medical center in Asunción.

The driver of the automobile, 19-year-old Andrea Milagros Escurra González, was hospitalized with minor injuries and remains under police custody. Following an investigation by the Public Ministry, Escurra has been charged with involuntary manslaughter. Witnesses reported the vehicle was performing zigzag maneuvers prior to the crash, and authorities have ordered blood tests to investigate potential intoxication.
