Yawata area to host 23rd Kaiyu-ten festival in September 2026

The 23rd Kaiyu-ten in Yawata 2026 is scheduled to take place on September 26 and 27, 2026, in the Hon-Yawata and Yawata areas of Ichikawa City. Under the theme “Rediscover! Yawata Town,” the event features art, music, history, and local commerce.

Key highlights include the limited opening of the Saizeriya No. 1 Store Education Memorial Hall, which will host a photography exhibition by Shun Shirai titled “Small Miracle & Fantasy+.” Due to expected crowds, viewing at the memorial hall will be conducted via a numbered ticket system.

Additionally, the Yawata Culture Festival 2026 will be held at the Zen-Nippon Keisatsu Hall, offering various musical performances including gospel, jazz, and classical ensembles. A separate art exhibition featuring printmaking and braided cord works is also scheduled to run from September 24 to 27.
