Golden State Warriors clinch 2026 NBA Summer League championship

The Golden State Warriors defeated the Memphis Grizzlies 94‑90 in the NBA Summer League final held on July 19, 2026 at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas. Rookie forward Yaxel Lendeborg, the 11th overall pick, was named the tournament MVP after posting a double‑double of 21 points and 10 rebounds and scoring the decisive basket in the closing minutes. Fellow freshman Deivon Smith also contributed 21 points off the bench, helping Golden State secure its second Summer League title since the event’s inception in 2013. The victory follows Lendeborg’s earlier triumph in the NCAA championship with Michigan, making him the second player to win both the Division I college title and the Summer League in the same year. The win caps a five‑game run for the Warriors, who finished the tournament with a 5‑1 record, and marks a strong start for the franchise’s 2026‑27 season.

Other noted performances included Memphis rookie Cameron Boozer’s 19 points and 8 rebounds and Cedric Coward’s 28‑point effort in the semifinal. The championship was broadcast on ESPN and streamed via Fubo.
