Yaya Touré faces performance decline at Slovan Bratislava

Yaya Touré’s tenure as head coach of Slovan Bratislava is facing scrutiny following a significant dip in performance. After an exceptional start to the season, which included a successful progression into the Champions League, the team's results and play have declined.

In his first ten matches, Touré maintained an unbeaten record with eight wins and two draws. However, in the subsequent ten matches, the team recorded three wins, two draws, and five losses. This decline includes heavy defeats in the Champions League against PSG, Stuttgart, and AS Roma, as well as unexpected struggles in domestic league play.

Reports regarding Touré’s compensation also clarify that his salary is significantly lower than his former earnings as a player at Manchester City. While initial speculation suggested a million-euro annual salary, sources indicate his monthly pay is in the tens of thousands of euros, driven by his desire to establish himself as a head coach rather than financial gain.
