Yayasan Indonesia Setara workshops drive frozen food sales for women
The ‘Workshop Perempuan Berdaya’ (Empowered Women Workshop) organized by Yayasan Indonesia Setara (YIS) has yielded immediate economic results for participants in West Java. The program, which focuses on teaching frozen food production skills, has enabled women in Ciawi, Bogor Regency, and Depok to secure significant pre-orders.
In the Ciawi workshop held on August 13, 2026, 20 participants secured a total of 2,090 product pre-orders. Notable individual successes included Rahmawati, who received 231 orders, and Vera, who received 186 orders. Based on an estimated price of Rp5,000 per unit, these orders represent potential revenues of Rp1,155,000 and Rp930,000, respectively.
Similarly, the workshop held in Depok on August 19, 2026, saw participants successfully marketing their frozen food products. Denny Rahayu recorded the highest number of pre-orders at 245 units, followed by Melly with 210 units. With an estimated selling price of Rp8,000 per unit, Denny Rahayu stands to earn approximately Rp1,960,000, while Melly is projected to earn Rp1,680,000.
