Yayasan Jantung Indonesia Jayapura branch inaugurates new management

The Jayapura branch of the Indonesian Heart Foundation (Yayasan Jantung Indonesia/YJI) has officially inaugurated its new management for the 2026–2031 period. The ceremony, held in Abepura, was led by the Papua Provincial YJI Chairperson, Suzanna Wanggai.

The new management, headed by Irwansyah, aims to shift public perception regarding heart disease by emphasizing early education and prevention rather than waiting for severe symptoms. The initiative will target both the elderly and school-aged children to foster healthy lifestyle habits from a young age.

Jayapura Deputy Mayor Rustan Saru expressed the local government's commitment to acting as a strategic partner, encouraging the foundation to expand its reach to the district level to ensure prevention services are accessible to all citizens.
