Ye concert and Jakarta Running Festival generate Rp625 billion economic impact

The Ye concert and the Jakarta Running Festival (JRF) 2026 have generated an estimated economic impact of Rp625 billion for Jakarta, according to Governor Pramono Anung Wibowo.

Of this total, the Ye concert contributed approximately Rp450 billion, with ticket sales alone accounting for Rp328 billion. The Jakarta Running Festival contributed roughly Rp175 billion, involving 49 MSMEs and 130 local and international brands. The Governor noted that the actual impact likely exceeds these figures when accounting for unmeasured activities in hospitality and retail.

Regarding his performance at the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium, rapper Ye denied social media claims that he was angry with the audience. Addressing viral clips where he repeatedly directed fans to restart the chorus of his song ‘Heartless’, Ye stated on X that the atmosphere was highly energetic and that his interactions were part of the ‘rock and roll’ stage performance. The concert, part of his ‘Ye Live Concert Tour’, featured a massive ‘Giant World Globe Stage’ and was attended by over 70,000 people.
