Yeah Yeah Yeahs announce new live album and concert film
Indie rock band Yeah Yeah Yeahs has announced the release of a new live album, ‘Hidden in Pieces: Live at the Royal Albert Hall’, alongside a companion documentary film titled ‘Yeah Yeah Yeahs: Hidden in Pieces’.
The live album, released via Secretly Canadian Records, features 13 tracks recorded during the band’s first performance at London’s Royal Albert Hall in 2025. The recording includes reimagined classics and deep cuts accompanied by strings, piano, and acoustic guitars. A physical edition and an expanded digital deluxe version are scheduled for release on October 23rd.
The 22-minute documentary, directed by Barnaby Clay, was filmed in black and white at the Orpheum Theatre in Los Angeles following the band’s 25th anniversary tour. Clay intended to create a film that felt “delicate and dreamlike, like a precious, timeless memory.”
The film will be available for streaming on the Criterion Channel and will receive theatrical screenings in select locations across the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, Mexico, and Japan. Tickets for these screenings are expected to go on sale September 3rd.
