Yeast Photo Festival held in Galatina

The fifth edition of the Yeast Photo Festival is taking place in Galatina, Salento. Organized by the associations BESAFE and On The Move, the 2026 edition is themed ‘A Matter of Taste’, exploring the table as a space for tradition, identity, conflict, and memory.

Scheduled activities include a bread sculpture workshop at Palazzo della Cultura and a discussion titled ‘A Matter of Health: Ethics, Taste, and the Future of the Mediterranean Diet’ in Piazza Galluccio. The talk features participants such as Paolo Pastore of Fairtrade Italia, chef Domingo Schingaro, and Denise Caricato of Fondazione AIRC Puglia.

Exhibitions hosted throughout the historic center of Galatina remain open until November 8. Featured works include ‘Daughters of the Sea’ by Forough Alaei, ‘Memories of Tender Bonds’ by Koral Carballo, ‘The Last Generation’ by Bob Miller, ‘La Panarda’ by Marco Zorzanello, and a series on Gaza by Saher Alghorra.
