YEDAŞ team wins international energy expertise award

The YEDAŞ team, representing Türkiye, has been awarded the ‘Most Experienced Expert Team’ title at the Energy Experts Professional Mastery Competition. The event was hosted by TEDAŞ in Ankara with support from the Organization of Turkic States General Secretariat and the Association of Electricity Distribution Services (ELDER).

Teams from Türkiye, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan participated in the competition, which focused on technical knowledge, professional skills, team coordination, and adherence to occupational health and safety regulations. The practical tasks required teams to perform field operations, such as replacing a faulty fuse on the high-voltage side of a pole-mounted distribution transformer, while implementing necessary safety maneuvers and local grounding.

A jury composed of representatives from the participating countries evaluated the teams based on equipment usage, fault detection, and intervention skills. YEDAŞ General Manager Yunus Emre Bilgi noted that the competition serves as a vital opportunity to strengthen cooperation and share field experiences among brotherly nations under the Organization of Turkic States.
