Yeşilay aims to make Kayseri a model addiction-free city

Yeşilay General President Mehmet Dinç announced ambitions to transform Kayseri into a model city free of addiction, serving as an example for both Turkey and the world. Speaking at the opening of the newly restored Gavremoğlu Mansion, which now houses the Yeşilay Kayseri Branch, Counseling Center, and Youth Center, Dinç emphasized the organization's commitment to this goal.

Dinç highlighted the importance of the recently established Yeşilay Rehabilitation Center in the city, describing it as a vital resource for helping individuals reintegrate into society. He characterized the fight against addiction as a struggle for independence, noting that the organization views addiction as a modern form of colonialism targeting youth.

The opening ceremony was attended by several high-ranking officials, including Kayseri Governor Gökmen Çiçek, TBMM National Defense Commission Chairman and AK Party Kayseri Deputy Hulusi Akar, and Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Memduh Büyükkılıç.
