Yeşilay Kars Branch Educates Local Merchants on Addiction Risks

The Yeşilay Kars Branch carried out a door‑to‑door information campaign among merchants in the city centre of Kars, Turkey. Volunteers visited each shop to explain the dangers of tobacco, alcohol, drug, gambling and technology addictions, stress the importance of early detection, and hand out brochures detailing the organisation’s education projects and awareness campaigns.

Branch officials emphasized that combating addiction is a shared societal responsibility and noted that Yeşilay will continue its outreach throughout the year in schools, public institutions and civil‑society organisations. Merchants expressed appreciation for the visits and pledged to help spread the information to the wider community.
