Yeşilay launches addiction prevention and healthy living campaigns in Turkey

Yeşilay, a Turkish organization dedicated to fighting addiction, has launched various educational and field initiatives to promote healthy living and prevent substance and technology dependencies.

In Elazığ, the organization has focused on children during the summer holidays to combat technology addiction. Through games, drama, and presentations in parks, sports centers, and mosques, teams have reached approximately 1,800 children. These efforts aim to raise awareness about the dangers of excessive screen time and encourage conscious technology use.

In Yozgat, Yeşilay conducted extensive outreach from January to August 2026. The campaign included visits to schools, hospitals, industrial zones, and local markets. Programs such as the Turkey Addiction Combatting (TBM) Adult Training Program and youth-oriented projects like ‘My Club is Yeşilay’ were implemented. Additionally, the organization promoted the free counseling services provided by the Yeşilay Counseling Center (YEDAM) through social activities, including bicycle tours and chess tournaments.
