Yeşiltepe Primary School launches environmental and social projects

Yeşiltepe Primary School in Ortahisar, Trabzon, has implemented two major environmental and social responsibility projects in collaboration with the Ortahisar Municipality.

As part of the municipality’s initiative for the separation of recyclable waste at the source, the school actively participated in a zero waste campaign to teach students about recycling and environmental cleanliness. Additionally, the school supported the “Overcoming Obstacles by Recycling” project in cooperation with the GSB KTÜ Student Dormitory. This initiative involved collecting blue bottle caps to assist individuals with disabilities.

In recognition of these efforts, Ortahisar Municipality Deputy Mayors Murat Özçilingir and Mustafa Özer İskender visited the school to present certificates of appreciation for the school’s contribution to environmental awareness and social solidarity.
