Yeşilyurt Mayor İlhan Geçit expands condolence houses via local donations

Yeşilyurt Mayor Prof. Dr. İlhan Geçit has announced the expansion of condolence houses (Taziye Evleri) in the region through collaborations with local philanthropists. The initiative aims to strengthen social solidarity by providing spaces for citizens to gather during times of mourning.

Mayor Geçit recently visited the Babacan family, owners of Babacan Tekstil, to express gratitude for their support in constructing a new condolence house in the Topsöğüt neighborhood. Following the visit to the factory, the Mayor and his delegation inspected the ongoing construction site to evaluate the project's progress.

To date, four condolence houses have been opened to service the community. The Mayor stated that the municipality continues to increase the number of these facilities through cooperation with charitable businesspeople, fulfilling promises made during the election period.
