Yele discusses Christian music career and life as Wisin's daughter

Yele, the 18-year-old daughter of international music star Wisin, is establishing her own identity within the Christian music genre. In a recent interview on the Jaydan podcast, the Puerto Rican singer discussed the intense pressure of growing up in the public eye and facing constant comparisons to her father.

While acknowledging that her father’s career may open certain doors, Yele emphasized that she works independently to build her career and complete her academic studies. She addressed public perceptions that her success is merely a result of her family connections, stating, “People take it for granted that I am Wisin’s daughter and I already have everything... People don’t see what is happening behind the scenes.”

Her recent musical release, “Voy con Jesús,” a collaboration with Álex Zurdo, focuses on her faith. Yele expressed that her primary goal is to use her music to convey a spiritual message, noting that her music is also a way to bring her father closer to God.
