Yella Beezy allegedly funded Mo3 murder, detective testifies
During the murder trial of Kewon White, a Dallas detective testified that rapper Yella Beezy allegedly funded the 2020 killing of Mo3. Prosecutors claim Beezy and DaVarius “Trapboy Freddy” Moore orchestrated the murder-for-hire plot.
Detective Eric Barnes presented financial records showing Beezy withdrew $40,000 in cash on November 20, 2020, shortly after Mo3 was killed. Investigators allege this money was used to pay White, who is accused of being the hitman. Prosecutors also presented text messages between Beezy, Moore, and an alleged middleman, Jerry Johnson, which reportedly used coded language to discuss payments and leaving town.
While White faces trial for the killing, investigators noted they lack documented financial records for Moore, though they believe he contributed to the funding. White was allegedly paid $20,000 for the hit according to cellphone records presented by the prosecution.
