Yellowstone National Park worker's truck rammed by bison
A seasonal mechanic, Kyle Weber, was struck by a bison while driving through Yellowstone National Park in the early morning hours. The incident, which occurred around 2:45 a.m., was captured on dashboard camera footage.
Weber reported that he encountered the lone bison blocking the road and stopped his Ford Ranger to wait for the animal to pass. Instead of moving away, the bison charged and rammed the vehicle. Weber stated that the impact was forceful enough to jolt him and push the truck back approximately a foot and a half. While the vehicle sustained some damage, including a scraped bumper, the headlights remained functional.
This encounter follows a previous incident in the park where a visitor was injured by a bull bison, highlighting the unpredictable nature of the park's approximately 5,000 bison.
