Yemen Civil Service Minister announces salary increases starting October

Salem Al-Awlaqi, the Minister of Civil Service and Insurance, has announced that the disbursement of due salary increases and allowances for government employees is scheduled to begin with the October payroll. This applies to entities that have completed the necessary eligibility, review, and auditing procedures.

The Ministry has referred eligibility fatwas and payroll lists to the Ministry of Finance for final auditing and matching. Once completed, financial reinforcements will be processed and transferred to the Central Bank for disbursement. The Minister noted that payments for remaining government entities will follow sequentially as technical and financial readiness requirements are met.

In Shabwah governorate, the Civil Service and Insurance Office reported that it has completed over 80% of the procedures for entering annual allowances and a 20% cost-of-living increase into the payroll systems. Officials in the region have urged government offices to finalize their administrative requirements to ensure timely payments.
