War risk premiums for oil tankers associated with Saudi Arabia docking at Yanbu port have risen to approximately 3% of vessel value, with potential increases to 7% depending on the route and risk level. These insurance hikes can add between $3 million and $7 million to the cost of a single voyage.

Government officials have raised concerns regarding the use of modified Iranian air defense weapons by Houthi forces. Specifically, military spokespeople warned that these weapons have been converted into loitering munitions launched from Hodeidah that utilize thermal tracking, posing a significant threat to international civil aviation and humanitarian flights in the region.
