Yemen Education Ministers discuss sector development and regional support

Yemeni Minister of Education, Dr. Adel Abdulmajeed Al-Abadi, held a series of meetings in Aden to address educational challenges and enhance institutional cooperation.

In a meeting with the Director General of Education for Abyan, Dr. Nabil Mohammed Muhaim, Al-Abadi discussed the current state of schooling in the Abyan governorate. The discussions focused on infrastructure needs, teacher requirements, and the difficulties facing displaced children in accessing education. The Ministry plans to dispatch a specialized team to Abyan to conduct field assessments and identify priorities for school improvements.

Additionally, Minister Al-Abadi met with the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Amin Noaman Al-Qudsi. The two officials discussed ways to integrate general education with university-level studies to better prepare students for the labor market. They emphasized the need for increased coordination between their respective ministries to improve the overall quality of the national educational system.
